Head Tracking for Desktop VR with a Wii Remote

Johnny Lee · Demo · 5 min · 2007 · YouTube title: Head Tracking for Desktop VR Displays using the WiiRemote

Why it's here

It is the classic reference for head-tracked parallax displays, cited whenever new 3D or holographic display tech appears.

What it covers

Johnny Lee demonstrates head tracking with a Wii remote and a head-mounted pair of IR LEDs, so a screen acts like a window into a 3D scene as your head moves.
